My Achievements

As I have devoted my time to many branches of life, I have managed to succeed in many of those. Here are a few things I am proud of:

My friends and family know me as studious. In my time studying, I have found new friends, knowledge, and paths to the future.

National Merit Scholarship Semi-finalist - National academic competition; less than 16,000 high schoolers earn this award each year. I am currently awaiting an opportunity to earn finalist status.

Arete Award (2021) - teacher nomination for positive contribution to school.

For over ten years, I have spent my evenings, weekends, and breaks playing soccer. This sport has given me new friends, leadership qualities, and self awareness. I am proud of what I have achieved here, and so are my coaches and teammates.

All Region Second Team (2023) - Players chosen by all coaches in the region.

MVP (2023)  - Awarded by coaches.

All Region First Team (2021) - Players chosen by all coaches in the region.

Best Attacking Player (2021) - Awarded by coaches for scoring most goals in season.

My Goals

I am currently looking forward to graduation in May 2024. The following fall, I will begin studying mechanical engineering at a four year college. While I have not committed yet, I am confident I will choose the correct university for myself.

While I am at university, I plan to spread myself thin: join many clubs, narrow down my career path as an engineer, explore the world, and co-op. I also plan to participate in reserach, such as joining a solar car team at the school of my choosing.

Forward of graduation, I am undecided on pursuing a master's degree. It is likely that I will look for a stable job during my senior year, and learn more about the industry I choose to work in. Eventually, I would like to start my own business, and make direct progress to my goals in sustainability.

I believe that it is important to have goals, but it is also important to be flexible and adaptable. I do not know where I will be in five years or even the next eight months, but I am confident that my skills and determination will make me successful wherever I end up.
